The countdown starts today. Get ready for a reunion like no other, whether you’re planning on joining us live in Cannes, or online. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming 2022 festival, from the awards, to the judging, and back again.
Cannes Lions, together with owners Ascential, has developed a health and safety standard that delivers industry best practice at live events, over the last 18 months. The festival will adhere to the latest health guidelines leading up to and at the event.
Returning the Festival to Cannes means that we can once again bring our jurors together in person. The initial stages of judging will take place remotely with the use of our unique judging technology but we’re delighted to be bringing the jurors back to Cannes to complete the final stages and award the Lions.
LIONS has opened its annual State of Creativity Study. The results of the study will form the LIONS 2022 editorial agenda across all of its platforms and events. Cannes Lions will open its call for content in January.
Cannes Lions is happening and will return to Cannes, France, 20-24 June 2022

From zero to stand in 7 days

On the 13th of October we where approached if we could build a stand for TFWA and seven days later we needed to start building. We excepted the challenge and provided Lafferty & Sons a 14m2 bespoke stand on TFWA 2021
Lafferty & Sons contacted us on the 13th in the afternoon with the story that they just heard that they would get a spot on TFWA and that they where desperately looking for stand builder who could provide them with some walls and hopefully some graphics as the build up would start in 7 days. We did hesitate but as it was a 14m2 stand, our reply was to ask if they had a design they used for other trade shows so we could see how close we can get to realising proper stand. They send us some renderings of a different stand and we made design close to these renderings including custom showcases, graphics on all walls, a bespoke reception desk and a large storage. As it was a problem for Lafferty & sons to provide the graphic files on time we agreed that they send us the logo files so our designer could create the graphics needed.
The next challenge was to get everything printed on time, get the wood in to build the walls, the custom showcases etc. But with our local connections we got this problem tackled as well. The fiurniture was no problem as we have a large stock of furniture. Than we had hire more people as we already had another stand of 30m2 on TFWA and limited time to build with 2 stands. Getting permission to build was easy as we know all the requirements from the Palais de festival and with all paperwork taken care of by our expo manager we could start with the build on the 20th and we could deliver the stand on the day before the show. After assisting Lafferty & Sons to get all their bottles and supplies to stand, nothing stood in their way for a successful TFWA and plans are already made for a better and bigger stand next year!
